AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE HONOR SOCIETY
The American Sign Language Honor Society is available to any student currently enrolled in ASL 4 or who is a rising 4 and will be enrolled the following school year. Students who want to be inducted as members must exhibit high academic performance in ASL as well as their other academics. This society provides recognition for student performance and dedication in ASL classes and provides opportunities for service to the community. Rising 4's may join meetings beginning after registration has been completed during the second semester. Current level 4's must commit to the Honors Society by our first October meeting. Meetings will begin in August. Rising 4's will be eligible for provisionary membership during the spring semester. ASL 4's will be formally inducted during the second semester ceremony.

CHINESE HONOR SOCIETY
The Chinese Honor Society offers students a rich platform to delve into Chinese culture beyond the confines of the classroom. Through engaging activities such as traditional food preparation, calligraphy sessions, and paper-cutting workshops, members experience the depth of Chinese heritage. Additionally, we actively contribute to our community through service projects and immersive visits to Chinatown.

The Neuqua Valley chapter of German Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Phi, is a nationally-recognized organization open to students enrolled in 3rd or 4th year German classes who are in good academic standing. GHS members perform service hours for the NV WL/EL Department, act as peer tutors in the Academic Resource Center, and generally promote the German language and culture. An induction ceremony is held in the spring.

Neuqua’s chapter of SHF, Sigma Phi, provides an opportunity to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of French language. Candidates are invited to join after first semester of French III. Membership is based on academic merit and continued enrollment in French. SHF members perform service hours for the NVHS WL/EL Department, provide peer tutoring in the Academic Resource Center, advocate for French language and Francophone culture in various ways and reach out to support our community at large through various service projects and activities.

MU ALPHA THETA
The NVHS Chapter of MAT was founded in 2012. It is open for all sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in math and passionate about promoting math as a practical and fun part of our daily life. Members participate in a number of mathematical activities throughout the school year, such as doing recreational mathematics (such as logic puzzles and scavenger hunts), planning the Pi Day festivities at NVHS, organizing an annual Middle School Math Fair, and taking national contests for prizes.

Membership in this chapter is based on scholarship, service, and character. The National Art Education Association (NAEA) is committed to recognizing high school students who demonstrate outstanding abilities in the visual arts. As a member of Neuqua Valley’s NAHS, you will have many opportunities which will include having your artwork on exhibit, participation in community-centered projects, and opportunities to participate in/lead hands-on workshops. The purpose of National Business Honor Society is to: promote and recognize academic achievement in business education at the secondary level, foster and recognize leadership skills and character development, help members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business, and encourage member involvement in service learning initiatives.

The National Honor Society for Dance Arts™ (NHSDA) is a program of the National Dance Education Organization, created to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance in public and private schools in K-12 education, dance studios, cultural/community centers, performing arts organizations, and post-secondary education.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. Through more than 6000 chartered chapters, Tri-M has helped thousands of young people provide years of service through music in schools throughout the world.
