Abraham Lincoln Book Club
The Abraham Lincoln Book Club is a club that celebrates Illinois authors who are nominated for the prestigious Abe Lincoln Book Award. It is open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors whose English teachers choose to participate in the program (most, but not all, of them do). Interested students receive a Google Classroom Code from their English teacher to join the Abraham Lincoln Classroom. There is a new code each semester. Participants then review the list of titles that we have chosen to include for this year's club. Then, students select and read a book (or books depending on the teacher's requirements) from the list, write a paper about the book(s) (the writing prompt is provided in the Google Classroom), and create Flip responding to discussion questions. In addition to reading a cool book, writing the paper, and making the Flip, the participant will be awarded extra credit in English class. For many English classes, this is the only way to earn extra credit for the semester.
American Sign Language Club
The American Sign Language Club is a place for students to gather and learn about ASL and Deaf Culture in a relaxed setting. Sometimes we will meet ASL Club students from the other District 204 schools. The schedule is posted in the World Language bulletin board across from D107.
Anime Club
Anime Club is dedicated to the study of great animation. Although the club specializes in Japanese animation, quality animation is viewed no matter its country of origin. We learn about Japanese culture through anime and celebrate Japanese events throughout the year.
Art Club
Art club is open to all students interested in a creative outlet. Meetings are held on most Mondays in room A109 after school. Activities include mural painting, window displays, and open studio time where students can practice drawing, painting, printmaking and computer graphics. Asian Student Alliance
Asian Student Alliance (ASA) is a club that is dedicated to providing Neuqua students with a safe environment to learn, celebrate, and participate in Asian culture. To learn more, follow our club Instagram @neuqua_asa or join our Google Classroom 52k6zdu. Anyone is welcome!
Aspiring Medical Professionals Club (AMP)
AMP meets on alternating Mondays after school in the LMC during football season and the Large Forum Room from Dec-April from 2:30-3:30pm. This is a student–lead club that emphasizes careers in the medical field. We have guest speakers and do activities related to the medical field such as blood pressure, reflexes, and practice suturing. The club is open to everyone and there are no commitments—come to as many meetings as you can.
Astronomy Club
Astronomy Club is for students interested in pursuing the field of space and astrophysics. Activities will include discussions, projects, and activities related to the latest astronomical news and telescope nights in the spring months.
Athletic Training Club
Athletic Training Club is a great opportunity to learn more about the profession and the sports medicine industry. There is also the opportunity to observe athletic trainers working in the field. The club is open to everyone and there are no required commitments. Athletic Training Club meets in E108.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies is an organization that promotes activities and events with special needs students. Students attend school events together and work on school projects. Peers are encouraged to join early in the school year.
Black Student Alliance (BSA)
Black Student Alliance (BSA) is a club designed to give a safe space to African American students looking for a smaller community within the larger Neuqua community to connect, build relationships, and communicate their experiences in school and the world around them. It is an open club that welcomes all students.
Cancer Kids First
The club is dedicated to improving the lives of children battling cancer. We aim to normalize their childhood and provide as much support as possible. Our main goal of the club is to make an impact and provide for as many pediatric patients and their families as we can. Cancer Kids First meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3PM.
Cooking Club
The purpose of the cooking club is to talk about different cooking techniques and international foods. The cooking club doesn't cook during their meetings-- instead, we learn about cooking and try out different recipes and report back! The cooking club meets once a month from 2:15-3PM in the LMC.
Crafty Wildcats
Are you stressed out? Looking for a creative outlet with a community of like-minded people? Well, come down to Crafty Wildcats to relieve your stress one stitch at a time! We have supplies and experts in different crafts like crochet, knitting, macrame, chalk sign making, and more! We will meet once a week starting in September-April! Creative Writing Club
The purpose of creative writing club is to encourage innovative and exciting ideas into writing. We help aspiring authors reach their potential, and we invite others to learn how to write creatively. Creative Writing Club meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Debate Club
Debate clubs calls students to engage and acquaint themselves with philosophical ideas and nurture a culture of skepticism and linguistic accountability. Debate Club engages in monthly formal debates from 2:15-3PM in the LMC.
DND Club
Members of DND Club get together to play DND and have fun! The club hosts campaigns once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3:00pm.
Drama Club
The Drama Club provides support and assistance for all theatrical activities at NVHS through such behind the scenes activities as ushering, ticket and concessions sales, and publicity. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops and field trips throughout the year.
Environmental Club (NVECO)
NVeco (NV's Environmental Club) involves students in community service and school awareness of local and global environmental issues. Students are encouraged to become involved in environmental issues and advocate on behalf of those issues with our school community and nationally and internationally. Our mission is to help ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations through activities and events that promote recycling, reduce carbon emissions, and encourage others to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Fashion Club
Fashion Club is a community of students who enjoy all things fabulous-- our goal is to educate, inspire, and motivate anyone interested in learning about fashion, and, most importantly, enable school and fashion to coexist.
Fit Club
Performance enhancement, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, body building, injury prevention, body transformation, general fitness, stress outlet, a place to get in the zone alone or to get better while making friends… You can find it all here with us. Show up with workout clothes, athletic shoes, and the desire to get better. We are ready for you to join us. We have decades of experience training teens to meet their fitness goals and we do it free for all committed Neuqua students. We maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment with top of the line equipment. Whether you are an advanced athlete or someone just beginning the fitness journey, we have you covered. Finance Club
Finance Club is designed for students interested in Finance and Economics. Each week there are student-lead discussions over interested financial topics as well as time to informally learn about the material. Throughout the year students have the opportunity to compete in a personal finance challenge, economics challenge, Federal Reserve challenge, InvestWrite competitions, multiple stock market portfolio challenges, and a Youth about Business (YAB) summer program. All of these events are free to enter and have exciting prizes for the winners. In the past we have had multiple state competition winners, a two-time National Stock Market Game team winner (earning trips to Washington D.C.), and a YAB national winning team!

French Club
Neuqua’s French Club is open to any student interested in French language and Francophone culture. We meet about once a month to explore food, film, music, crafts, games and holidays from French speaking countries. The semester schedule is published in early September and again in early January.
GIDAS (pronounced guide us)
GIDAS is the high school branch of the organization miRcore, a non-profit organization run out of the University of Michigan that is dedicated towards democratizing medical research. GIDAS works to connect high schoolers with researchers/scientists. GIDAS meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3PM.
Gender & Sexuality Alliance LGBTQ+
Neuqua Valley’s GSA strives to create an environment free from discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. We believe in valuing the identities of all individuals by celebrating the diversity amongst all gender identities and sexual orientations.
German Club
German Club is open to any student interested in German culture! You do not have to be in German or in any World Language class to join. Come to one meeting or all of them! Activities include board games, crafts, German films, pretzel baking, cultural celebrations (Oktoberfest! Karneval!) , and a Christmas market field trip. We typically meet twice a month on Thursdays. Girls in STEM
Join Girls In STEM to explore and learn about career opportunities for women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields. We meet every other Thursday with a different career topic each meeting. We explore different jobs and have a fun hands-on activity at every meeting. Join for free and meet girls with similar interests and goals!
Girls Who Code (GWC)
Girls Who Code's mission is to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to our mission. We focus our work not only on gender diversity but also on young women who are historically underrepresented in computer science fields. We serve 9-12th grade females and non-binary students to explore coding in a friendly and fun environment. GWC meets two Tuesdays after school a month from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.
Gold Rush

Indian Student Alliance
Indian Student Association (ISA) is club for Indian students looking for a smaller community within the larger Neuqua community to connect, build relationships, and celebrate their culture. It is an open club that welcomes all students.
Inkflow
Inflow is a bullet-journaling/calligraphy club. Students will learn how to stay organized and track goals using bullet-journaling in an aesthetic and creative way.
Interact (community service club)
Neuqua Valley's Interact Club is a community service-based organization that is dedicated to helping communities locally, nationally, and (when possible) internationally. The club strives to serve those in need through community service that promotes goodwill and service to all.
Interact provides volunteers for local organizations and for in-school events through Naperville Park District, Naper Settlement, Morton Arboretum, and more. In addition, we are Rotary-sponsored and support our Naperville Sunrise Rotary in their events, and they support us with various events and with financing for our blanket making event and RYLA.
We meet every other Monday morning from 6:45 -7:05 am (though not every Monday)--schedule and information posted at NVHSinteract.org. Join the largest club at Neuqua and volunteer in your community!
Interactive Gaming Club
The mission of the Interactive Gaming Club is to organize and facilitate game enthusiasts of all kinds through our gamers' network, friendly and accepting atmosphere and conversations. The members are dedicated to playing strategy, war, board, role-playing, miniature battle, and collectible game cards. All levels of skill and interest are welcome.
Intramurals
Neuqua Valley Intramurals offers opportunities for students to recreationally participate in a variety of sports and activities with other NVHS students. Taking place at the Birkett Freshman Center after school, our activities range from individual, open gym style sports to team based league play. Students can find dates, registration, and other information by accessing NVHSIM.com. Activities Include: Rock Climbing, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Indoor Soccer (Futsol), Cricket, Golf, Fitness Centers (Main and BFC)
Junior State of America (JSA)
JSA is a community of students looking to learn about politics and improve their public speaking skills in a safe, judgment free environment. The group participates in numerous types of debates and open discussions called thought talks. JSA meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Korean Cultural Club
Korean Cultural Club promotes the awareness of Korean culture within Neuqua Valley. Students aim to unify by learning about Korean history, language, art, and K-Pop. The Korean Cultural Club meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Literary Magazine (Lit Mag)
The Essence is a yearly literary publication produced entirely by Neuqua Valley students and supervised by Gillian Schneider. In the fall, we encourage students to join staff as editors or to submit through our bit.ly link on our website. Once we start receiving submissions, staff rates submissions and looks at how highly-rated pieces relate to our chosen theme for the year. We try to select a variety of writing and art to be published in the magazine, and we are open to any Neuqua student who has original work to share with us. We hope to encourage students to join us for writing workshop sessions and will give priority to students who attend and hope to be published. Our magazine is published once a year in mid-May. Those published will be invited to our publication party, and copies will be available for sale after that. For updates, check NVHSessence.org.
Middle Eastern & North African Cultural Club
MENA is an open community to learn about MENA culture, including language, art, holidays, history, and music. The club has no religious affiliation.
Media Marketing Club
Media Marketing Club educates and empowers students interested in media marketing. The club provides opportunities for skill development, networking, and practical experience in marketing and advertising through real life practices. The Media Marketing Club meets once a month from 2:15-3PM in the LMC.
Multicultural Club
The Multicultural Club provides a community for people to not only express their own culture, but learn about their friends' interests, and the combined cultures that make up Neuqua Valley. With an increased understanding of our peers' everyday life we can strengthen the bonds of our community by seeing the full scope of the kaleidoscope that is culture. Multicultural Club meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Muslim Student Association (MSA)
The Muslim Student Association is a faith based organization that typically meets every Friday after school. Through weekly activities and dialogue as well as regular out of school social events, MSA aims to connect Muslim students across the district. MSA also makes an effort to involve students in community service projects. Any student interested in finding community with Muslim students or learning more about Islam is welcome to attend.
Neuqua Valley Auxiliary Kazoo Band
We are just a band of kazooists who love playing the kazoo and having fun. No experience necessary.
Operation Snowball
Operation Snowball is a substance abuse prevention/positive self-esteem/teen leadership program for all students. There are two weekend retreats each school year-- one in the fall and one in the spring. Learn more about yourself while learning about others. All five Naperville area schools participate on the weekends. Having fun and making good choices are what Snowball is all about.
Outdoor Club
The Outdoor Club gives students an opportunity to learn and enjoy the great outdoors. Outings in the past include fishing, fly-fishing, go-carting, whitewater rafting, miniature golf, canoeing, mountain biking, picnicking, Frisbee golf and a high ropes course. The Outdoor Club also has guest speakers and community organizations that teach students about nature and the outdoors throughout the year. The Outdoor Club emphasizes having fun outside while being considerate of our sensitive environment and nature. This club is open to all students.
Psychology Club
The psychology club recreationally discusses topics of psychology outside of a curricular setting. The club is a forum-like setting for students to talk about psychological topics ranging from pshychological phenomenon in relationships, society, emotions, or school. Psychology Club meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3PM.
Red Cross Club
The Red Cross Club empowers you and your peers with knowledge and life-saving skills to help prepare your school and community to respond to emergencies. By attending each meeting, you can earn volunteer hours, enjoy snacks, and socialize with friends, all while participating in meaningful community service! All are welcome! Salt and Light Christian Club
Salt and Light Christian Club is a student-led community where students gather for general Christian fellowship. It is also for students who are simply seeking more information about Christianity. Spanish Club
Spanish Club is open to anyone interested in learning about the unique cultures of the many countries that speak Spanish. All students are welcome to come to one or all meetings! Activities vary every year and may include making traditional crafts and foods, playing games, watching movies/sports and learning about music, art, history and traditional celebrations. Spoken Word
Spoken Word Club is for students interested in reading and writing poetry, whether you are an absolute beginner or have been writing for years. We write poems using engaging and fun writing prompts, play team-building and writing games, and give group and individual feedback on poems. Everyone also has an opportunity to try out for our NVHS Spoken word poetry team. The team performs their original poems in the Rooted & Radical competition (previously called Louder Than a Bomb) in Chicago in the spring. Star Raiders
Neuqua Valley's Star Raiders organization is made up of over 50 students who have pledged to be drug and alcohol free. Star Raiders is for any student willing to make the commitment to live a healthy lifestyle for the entire school year and to be a positive role model. Star Raiders will celebrate Red Ribbon Week in October, participate in community service projects, and visit Elementary Schools in the Indian Prairie School District 204 to promote and lead by example to younger students in making positive choices.
Student Council
Student Council has an impact on school activities, enhancing school spirit, and increasing student involvement in the community. If you're interested in organizing Homecoming, planning community service drives, or just want to be involved, feel free to join at any time! Class Councils and Committees meet Tuesday mornings at 6:45 a.m. at the Main Building Forum Rooms or H111 at the Freshmen Center. See our website and calendar for more information and meeting dates.
Student Equity Action Committee (SEAC)
Neuqua Valley’s Student Equity Action Committee (SEAC) is an organization that allows students to share their views on issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in efforts to then collaborate with students and staff for necessary change. All are welcome to attend. This committee has monthly meetings on Wednesdays from 2:15pm-3pm.
TV Production Club
The TV Production Club meets every other Thursday after school in C112 and is open to all Neuqua students interested in Television or Film production. Activities vary from creating content to analyzing it. We typically meet for an hour (2:30-3:30) every other Thursday with some outside meeting time opportunities available to club members as well. Students do not need to attend every meeting to be involved.
UNICEF
Neuqua UNICEF is a club committed to spreading UNICEF's mission of putting children first, and helping fight global poverty. Our club's focus in in three major areas:
Web Development
Students interested in Web Development will learn how to create and code aesthetically pleasing, function, and modern websites using a variety of relevant techniques, tools, and frameworks, such as React, Angular PHP, and Vue. Members are encouraged to submit to competitions involving web development and to explore career opportunities. The club meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3pm.
Wildcat Fiddlers
Wildcat Fiddlers is an extra-curricular music group that performs for the community during the school year. This is an optional group for those students excited about playing fiddle style music as well as rock, blues and other world fiddle styles. Students also have opportunities to plays solos, improvise, sing and dance. Students may also try their hand at some authentic fiddle group auxiliary instruments, such as washboard, woodblocks, mandolin, and more. This is an exciting group that enjoys playing at various concerts and extra functions during the year. Students must be enrolled in a curricular orchestra class (except for guitarists).
Women's Empowerment
Women’s Empowerment exists to create a space which honors and celebrates women. Discussions center on empowerment and opportunities to address the inequities which stem from gender discrimination. All gender identities are welcome to attend.
Yoga Club

You Matter
You Matter is a group of students who are dedicated to creating awareness and advocating to end the stigma surrounding mental health. Our goal is to promote a positive environment and community at NVHS.
Youth for Unity Virtues and Action (YUVA)
YUVA is a space for students to celebrate and value their Hindu culture and practices. Members involve themselves with Sewa (selfless service) activities with parting community organizations. The club is also a platform to understand more about Hindu traditions and bring on discussions about culture.

Fashion Club
Fashion Club is a community of students who enjoy all things fabulous-- our goal is to educate, inspire, and motivate anyone interested in learning about fashion, and, most importantly, enable school and fashion to coexist.
Fit Club
Performance enhancement, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, body building, injury prevention, body transformation, general fitness, stress outlet, a place to get in the zone alone or to get better while making friends… You can find it all here with us. Show up with workout clothes, athletic shoes, and the desire to get better. We are ready for you to join us. We have decades of experience training teens to meet their fitness goals and we do it free for all committed Neuqua students. We maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment with top of the line equipment. Whether you are an advanced athlete or someone just beginning the fitness journey, we have you covered. Finance Club
Finance Club is designed for students interested in Finance and Economics. Each week there are student-lead discussions over interested financial topics as well as time to informally learn about the material. Throughout the year students have the opportunity to compete in a personal finance challenge, economics challenge, Federal Reserve challenge, InvestWrite competitions, multiple stock market portfolio challenges, and a Youth about Business (YAB) summer program. All of these events are free to enter and have exciting prizes for the winners. In the past we have had multiple state competition winners, a two-time National Stock Market Game team winner (earning trips to Washington D.C.), and a YAB national winning team!
Future Educators Association (FEA/EdRising)
Join us in B103(main building) at 6:45 am on Weds. morning, We meet every Wednesday morning and the first Tuesday of every month after school. What are the perks of being in this club?
- Weekly Meetings include activities that simulate teaching in a classroom and guest speakers from all areas of education cover a variety of topics including choosing a college, classroom management, careers in teaching and beyond the classroom.
- Internships give you the opportunity to help in an elementary school classroom at least once a week which is a great way to see if teaching is right for you and further develop your skills.
- Teacher Shadow Days allow you to shadow a teacher for an entire day in the classroom of your choice. You can explore different age groups and subjects each semester.
- Read for the Record gives you the opportunity to do direct teaching during the annual Read for the Record Day at a local grade school. High school students read a story and do a follow-up activity with grade school students.
- A variety of teacher appreciation activities including the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast give you opportunities to recognize and interact with influential educators.
- Education-related Community Service such as tutoring or homework clubs
- Membership in a Professional, International Organization looks great on your college applications and resume.
- Partnership with Aurora University offers leadership training and teacher training
French Club
Neuqua’s French Club is open to any student interested in French language and Francophone culture. We meet about once a month to explore food, film, music, crafts, games and holidays from French speaking countries. The semester schedule is published in early September and again in early January.
GIDAS (pronounced guide us)
GIDAS is the high school branch of the organization miRcore, a non-profit organization run out of the University of Michigan that is dedicated towards democratizing medical research. GIDAS works to connect high schoolers with researchers/scientists. GIDAS meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3PM.
Gender & Sexuality Alliance LGBTQ+
Neuqua Valley’s GSA strives to create an environment free from discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. We believe in valuing the identities of all individuals by celebrating the diversity amongst all gender identities and sexual orientations.
German Club
German Club is open to any student interested in German culture! You do not have to be in German or in any World Language class to join. Come to one meeting or all of them! Activities include board games, crafts, German films, pretzel baking, cultural celebrations (Oktoberfest! Karneval!) , and a Christmas market field trip. We typically meet twice a month on Thursdays. Girls in STEM
Join Girls In STEM to explore and learn about career opportunities for women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields. We meet every other Thursday with a different career topic each meeting. We explore different jobs and have a fun hands-on activity at every meeting. Join for free and meet girls with similar interests and goals!
Girls Who Code (GWC)
Girls Who Code's mission is to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to our mission. We focus our work not only on gender diversity but also on young women who are historically underrepresented in computer science fields. We serve 9-12th grade females and non-binary students to explore coding in a friendly and fun environment. GWC meets two Tuesdays after school a month from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.
Gold Rush

Indian Student Alliance
Indian Student Association (ISA) is club for Indian students looking for a smaller community within the larger Neuqua community to connect, build relationships, and celebrate their culture. It is an open club that welcomes all students.
Inkflow
Inflow is a bullet-journaling/calligraphy club. Students will learn how to stay organized and track goals using bullet-journaling in an aesthetic and creative way.
Interact (community service club)
Neuqua Valley's Interact Club is a community service-based organization that is dedicated to helping communities locally, nationally, and (when possible) internationally. The club strives to serve those in need through community service that promotes goodwill and service to all.
Interact provides volunteers for local organizations and for in-school events through Naperville Park District, Naper Settlement, Morton Arboretum, and more. In addition, we are Rotary-sponsored and support our Naperville Sunrise Rotary in their events, and they support us with various events and with financing for our blanket making event and RYLA.

Interactive Gaming Club
The mission of the Interactive Gaming Club is to organize and facilitate game enthusiasts of all kinds through our gamers' network, friendly and accepting atmosphere and conversations. The members are dedicated to playing strategy, war, board, role-playing, miniature battle, and collectible game cards. All levels of skill and interest are welcome.
Intramurals
Neuqua Valley Intramurals offers opportunities for students to recreationally participate in a variety of sports and activities with other NVHS students. Taking place at the Birkett Freshman Center after school, our activities range from individual, open gym style sports to team based league play. Students can find dates, registration, and other information by accessing NVHSIM.com. Activities Include: Rock Climbing, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Indoor Soccer (Futsol), Cricket, Golf, Fitness Centers (Main and BFC)
Junior State of America (JSA)
JSA is a community of students looking to learn about politics and improve their public speaking skills in a safe, judgment free environment. The group participates in numerous types of debates and open discussions called thought talks. JSA meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Korean Cultural Club
Korean Cultural Club promotes the awareness of Korean culture within Neuqua Valley. Students aim to unify by learning about Korean history, language, art, and K-Pop. The Korean Cultural Club meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Literary Magazine (Lit Mag)
The Essence is a yearly literary publication produced entirely by Neuqua Valley students and supervised by Gillian Schneider. In the fall, we encourage students to join staff as editors or to submit through our bit.ly link on our website. Once we start receiving submissions, staff rates submissions and looks at how highly-rated pieces relate to our chosen theme for the year. We try to select a variety of writing and art to be published in the magazine, and we are open to any Neuqua student who has original work to share with us. We hope to encourage students to join us for writing workshop sessions and will give priority to students who attend and hope to be published. Our magazine is published once a year in mid-May. Those published will be invited to our publication party, and copies will be available for sale after that. For updates, check NVHSessence.org.
Middle Eastern & North African Cultural Club
MENA is an open community to learn about MENA culture, including language, art, holidays, history, and music. The club has no religious affiliation.
Media Marketing Club
Media Marketing Club educates and empowers students interested in media marketing. The club provides opportunities for skill development, networking, and practical experience in marketing and advertising through real life practices. The Media Marketing Club meets once a month from 2:15-3PM in the LMC.
Multicultural Club
The Multicultural Club provides a community for people to not only express their own culture, but learn about their friends' interests, and the combined cultures that make up Neuqua Valley. With an increased understanding of our peers' everyday life we can strengthen the bonds of our community by seeing the full scope of the kaleidoscope that is culture. Multicultural Club meets once a month in the LMC from 2:15-3PM.
Muslim Student Association (MSA)
The Muslim Student Association is a faith based organization that typically meets every Friday after school. Through weekly activities and dialogue as well as regular out of school social events, MSA aims to connect Muslim students across the district. MSA also makes an effort to involve students in community service projects. Any student interested in finding community with Muslim students or learning more about Islam is welcome to attend.
Neuqua Valley Auxiliary Kazoo Band
We are just a band of kazooists who love playing the kazoo and having fun. No experience necessary.
Operation Snowball
Operation Snowball is a substance abuse prevention/positive self-esteem/teen leadership program for all students. There are two weekend retreats each school year-- one in the fall and one in the spring. Learn more about yourself while learning about others. All five Naperville area schools participate on the weekends. Having fun and making good choices are what Snowball is all about.
Outdoor Club
The Outdoor Club gives students an opportunity to learn and enjoy the great outdoors. Outings in the past include fishing, fly-fishing, go-carting, whitewater rafting, miniature golf, canoeing, mountain biking, picnicking, Frisbee golf and a high ropes course. The Outdoor Club also has guest speakers and community organizations that teach students about nature and the outdoors throughout the year. The Outdoor Club emphasizes having fun outside while being considerate of our sensitive environment and nature. This club is open to all students.
Psychology Club
The psychology club recreationally discusses topics of psychology outside of a curricular setting. The club is a forum-like setting for students to talk about psychological topics ranging from pshychological phenomenon in relationships, society, emotions, or school. Psychology Club meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3PM.
Red Cross Club
The Red Cross Club empowers you and your peers with knowledge and life-saving skills to help prepare your school and community to respond to emergencies. By attending each meeting, you can earn volunteer hours, enjoy snacks, and socialize with friends, all while participating in meaningful community service! All are welcome! Salt and Light Christian Club
Salt and Light Christian Club is a student-led community where students gather for general Christian fellowship. It is also for students who are simply seeking more information about Christianity. Spanish Club
Spanish Club is open to anyone interested in learning about the unique cultures of the many countries that speak Spanish. All students are welcome to come to one or all meetings! Activities vary every year and may include making traditional crafts and foods, playing games, watching movies/sports and learning about music, art, history and traditional celebrations. Spoken Word
Spoken Word Club is for students interested in reading and writing poetry, whether you are an absolute beginner or have been writing for years. We write poems using engaging and fun writing prompts, play team-building and writing games, and give group and individual feedback on poems. Everyone also has an opportunity to try out for our NVHS Spoken word poetry team. The team performs their original poems in the Rooted & Radical competition (previously called Louder Than a Bomb) in Chicago in the spring. Star Raiders
Neuqua Valley's Star Raiders organization is made up of over 50 students who have pledged to be drug and alcohol free. Star Raiders is for any student willing to make the commitment to live a healthy lifestyle for the entire school year and to be a positive role model. Star Raiders will celebrate Red Ribbon Week in October, participate in community service projects, and visit Elementary Schools in the Indian Prairie School District 204 to promote and lead by example to younger students in making positive choices.
Student Council
Student Council has an impact on school activities, enhancing school spirit, and increasing student involvement in the community. If you're interested in organizing Homecoming, planning community service drives, or just want to be involved, feel free to join at any time! Class Councils and Committees meet Tuesday mornings at 6:45 a.m. at the Main Building Forum Rooms or H111 at the Freshmen Center. See our website and calendar for more information and meeting dates.
Student Equity Action Committee (SEAC)
Neuqua Valley’s Student Equity Action Committee (SEAC) is an organization that allows students to share their views on issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in efforts to then collaborate with students and staff for necessary change. All are welcome to attend. This committee has monthly meetings on Wednesdays from 2:15pm-3pm.
TV Production Club
The TV Production Club meets every other Thursday after school in C112 and is open to all Neuqua students interested in Television or Film production. Activities vary from creating content to analyzing it. We typically meet for an hour (2:30-3:30) every other Thursday with some outside meeting time opportunities available to club members as well. Students do not need to attend every meeting to be involved.
UNICEF
Neuqua UNICEF is a club committed to spreading UNICEF's mission of putting children first, and helping fight global poverty. Our club's focus in in three major areas:
- Education - We learn about relevant global issues in our meetings via presentations, videos, and activities, and we work to share what we've learned with Neuqua students and with our community.
- Advocacy - We let our policymakers know that we care about global issues by signing petitions, making phone calls, and sending letters.
- Fundraising - We host events to raise money for UNICEF, in order to make tangible contributions to change.
Web Development
Students interested in Web Development will learn how to create and code aesthetically pleasing, function, and modern websites using a variety of relevant techniques, tools, and frameworks, such as React, Angular PHP, and Vue. Members are encouraged to submit to competitions involving web development and to explore career opportunities. The club meets once a month on Wednesdays from 2:15-3pm.
Wildcat Fiddlers
Wildcat Fiddlers is an extra-curricular music group that performs for the community during the school year. This is an optional group for those students excited about playing fiddle style music as well as rock, blues and other world fiddle styles. Students also have opportunities to plays solos, improvise, sing and dance. Students may also try their hand at some authentic fiddle group auxiliary instruments, such as washboard, woodblocks, mandolin, and more. This is an exciting group that enjoys playing at various concerts and extra functions during the year. Students must be enrolled in a curricular orchestra class (except for guitarists).
Women's Empowerment
Women’s Empowerment exists to create a space which honors and celebrates women. Discussions center on empowerment and opportunities to address the inequities which stem from gender discrimination. All gender identities are welcome to attend.
Yoga Club

You Matter
You Matter is a group of students who are dedicated to creating awareness and advocating to end the stigma surrounding mental health. Our goal is to promote a positive environment and community at NVHS.
Youth for Unity Virtues and Action (YUVA)
YUVA is a space for students to celebrate and value their Hindu culture and practices. Members involve themselves with Sewa (selfless service) activities with parting community organizations. The club is also a platform to understand more about Hindu traditions and bring on discussions about culture.
